Saad Ahmad, Esq. is a highly respected immigration law practitioner in Northern California. He has developed an outstanding reputation in handling complex immigration related matters. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island in 2000. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from North Carolina Central University in 1995. In 2003 Mr. Ahmad was a founder of Minter & Ahmad, which in 2005 became Saad Ahmad & Associates.His practice focuses on deportation defense and federal court litigation, with a special emphasis on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. Mr. Ahmad has litigated many important cases involving criminal immigration law and national security related issues in both immigration and federal courts around the country. He has successfully represented many immigration clients in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in various types of immigration matters. Recently, in Estrada-Espinoza v. Mukasey,546 F.3d 1147(9th Cir. 2008)(en banc), Mr. Ahmad successfully overturned the prior Ninth Circuit precedent which held that the California statutory rape statute was a crime of sexual abuse of a minor for deportation purposes.
Mr. Ahmad is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the San Francisco chapter of the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights. He regularly gives MCLE presentations on immigration law to criminal and immigration attorneys and provides pro bono immigration advice at local legal clinics.

Love Macione is an accomplished immigration lawyer in Northern California whose practice encompasses all areas of Immigration and Nationality Law. Ms. Macione has been certified as a specialist in Immigration and Naturalization Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization. She graduated magna cum laude from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors degree in Anthropology and Urban Studies. Ms. Macione received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1998. While at Hastings, she interned with the San Francisco Public Defender's Office and with the San Francisco Sheriff's Department's Prisoner Legal Services. She is admitted to practice in California and Massachusetts and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Northern and Eastern California Federal District Courts. Prior to working at Saad Ahmad & Associates, Ms. Macione obtained experience at other renowned immigration firms and had a successful solo practice. She has litigated cases in the California State Courts, Federal District Court in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California, Immigration Courts in various states, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also served as a mentor to law students and as an advisor to community groups.
